Who runs school transport in the UAE.
Emirates Transport is the largest school transport operator in the country and the default provider for most government schools. STS (School Transport Services) is the biggest private-school specialist, serving many of the international curriculum schools across Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Al Khaja Transport, Bright Bus Transport and a handful of smaller operators run the rest of the market.
All of these companies hit the same baseline: RTA-licensed yellow school buses, certified drivers, on-board supervisors. The differences show up in how they handle the day a bus breaks down, a route changes mid-term, or a parent calls with a complaint.
How JMT is competing — and where we're heading.
JMT Group runs school transport contracts for both public and private schools across Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Abu Dhabi. We're smaller than Emirates Transport and STS by total fleet, but on the routes we run we're matching or beating them on the operational metrics schools actually grade us on: on-time arrival, driver retention, supervisor consistency, parent communication.
Our roadmap is focused: expand the school fleet by 30% over the next two years, add CCTV with parent-app live view across every bus, and grow our supervisor pool with formal child-safeguarding training. We're not trying to replace the giants — we're building the school transport partner that schools choose when they want a name and a phone number, not a call centre.
Schools currently running with Emirates Transport, STS or another operator are welcome to put us on a single route as a pilot. That's how most of our school contracts start — one bus, one route, one term — and how almost all of them grow.
What a great school transport partner looks like.
A great school transport company is invisible to parents and indispensable to the principal. The bus shows up, the kids are safe, the supervisor knows every name, and the dispatcher answers the phone. JMT is built around that standard, every term, every route.
COMMON QUESTIONS.
Who are the best school transport companies in the UAE?+
The leading school transport operators in the UAE include Emirates Transport (the largest, serving most public and many private schools), STS (School Transport Services), Al Khaja Transport, Bright Bus Transport (BBT) and JMT Group. All are RTA-approved and run dedicated school-bus fleets with on-board supervisors.
Are JMT school buses RTA-compliant?+
Yes. Every JMT school bus meets RTA school transport regulations — yellow livery, seat belts on every seat, certified bus nanny / supervisor on board, GPS tracking and CCTV. Drivers hold RTA school bus permits and are trained in child safety.
How does JMT compare to Emirates Transport and STS for schools?+
Emirates Transport and STS run massive fleets and are the default for many large schools. JMT competes by being more responsive — same dispatcher, same driver, same vehicle on your route every term — and by being more flexible on contract structure, route changes and standby vehicles. We're the right choice for schools that want a personal partner rather than a ticket number.
Can JMT run school transport across multiple emirates?+
Yes. We currently run school routes across Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Abu Dhabi, including cross-emirate pickups. Each route gets a dedicated driver, supervisor and standby vehicle in the same emirate.
